Maybe you came to this page to find my “story,” or hear my philosophy on photography (keep it simple and timeless), or what my credentials are (spoiler, I’m all self-taught). Maybe you want to know if I’m the real deal (I am), or how long I’ve been in business (since 2009!). Or maybe you just want to make sure I’m not a weirdo and that I’ll be able to get your kids to smile and your baby to sleep (jury’s out on the former, but I’m badass at the latter).

I tend to talk a lot so I’ll spare you all the details and get to the nitty-gritty. What I can tell you is that I am fully in love with this hobby-turned-career. With much encouragement and support from my college friends, I started this little business after my first niece was born. I began coming home on weekends while I was a senior at Michigan (my degree is in psych - I’m sure you were wondering) to photograph my sister’s friends’ babies. Nearly 500 newborns and over a decade later, I can’t imagine doing anything else. I believe in mutual respect, hard work, honesty, real smiles, tight swaddles, big hugs, and a little harmless bribery. I’m an auntie to many, cat mom to two, horrible yet relentless gardener, eager patio drinker, and a shameless knitter (I sell, too!).

My clients are cool and laidback and place tremendous value on capturing their families as they always want to remember them. They become my friends and their babies wiggle their way into my heart every single time. I could not ask for anything more, except that you become one of them!
